This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
People have been really enthusiastic about the Pin-Ups, thanks for all the faves and comments from everyone! I've tried to go back and thank everyone, but if I missed anyone, I really appreciate it.
There's one more roll coming back, so I can't wait to see how those came out. I'm also hoping to meet up with Amanda dearest for a photoshoot so those will be up eventually. Yay!!
I like your stuff alot, and your model is cute, but, I was always a fan of Random or supprise photos. It seems like every vain girl has poses pictures of herself acting cute. Just take your digital camera and snap random photos of your model, and see what happens.
I'm the model in these, not the photographer...sorry, I wasn't sure if that was clear, your comment confused me a little. I also like the Random/Surprise photos. However a lot of these look posed because I was trying to get a more posed "pin-up" look. I understand the spontanaiety (sp?) of Random photos, but I was specifically going for more of a posed look with the last shoot. These aren't supposed to be spontaneous. Although in retrospect, many of the last shoot are spontanious, as the photographer wasn't giving me much direction. It was mostly just me running around doing whatever I felt like. And I take some offense to you saying "...seems like every vain girl (etc.)...". I'm not vain, I'm using my body to attempt to portray the old 50's/B-Movie pin-up styles. I'm sorry if that didn't come across to you, but these pictures aren't about me. Look up Cindy Sherman. Hundreds of self-portraits, very posed, with a point and having nothing to do with "looking cute". I'm trying to capture a mood through pose, makeup, costume, setting, and props. Still-life theatre I guess. If you don't like it, that's fine. But there is thought behind everyone of these pictures and I resent you implying they're just about me.
I see your point, and I can respect that. I have always believed that a true artist doesn't allow outside influence (and opinions) to dictate what kind of art they make. And I can see, that no matter what I say (or anyone), it won't change or sway what you do. That makes me an ass for assuming anything about you and your work. So be it, I'll look up Cindy Sherman, and do some digging into pin up models. This way, I can view your work (again) from a new perspective, hopefully something similar to yours to have a better opinion. Anyways keep up the good work, if its what you love to do, then keep doing it.
Which ones are you talking about? Because a lot of the newer ones weren't posed at all. But the older pin-up shoot is very posed, because a lot of the old pin-ups ARE very posed. It's the style. I don't entirely understand what you're critiquing. I'm being myself in these pictures. All of these were done with very nice equipment. And I'm doing it in the pin-up genre, so I don't really understand what criteria makes these "way way too posed". A lot of pin-ups have girls in poses with their legs way up in the air while on the phone. This seems very posed to me, not many girls I know talk on the phone with their legs thrown toward the ceiling, but it's the style of 1940's pin-up.
Sorry this is so long, just asking for a bit of clarification.
Their are a few good picture in your gallery. But I guess what I'm trying to say is...maybe you you went at it in a different way itd feel more up...classy? yet still pin up? I cant quite explain what I mean, because its more like your pictures are good...just something about them makes them not great which I feel like they could have the potential to be great.

I've learned that when it comes to art, people often ask for a critique but what they really want is a blowjob.
Looking at you reminds me of looking at the sun, and how the blind are so damned lucky.
